Privacy Policy

Effective September 21, 2026. Last updated September 21, 2026.

The short version

  • You tell us about your car situation and how to reach you.
  • We use it to follow up with you by phone, text, or email, and to match you with a participating car dealership that can help.
  • Dealerships may pay us for that introduction. You can tell us at any time to stop sharing your information.
  • We never ask for your Social Security number, credit score, or bank or card details.
  • Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Email [email protected] for anything else.

1. Who we are

CarMath is operated by ShowFloor Marketing LLC (“CarMath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). CarMath helps people work out whether to repair their current vehicle or replace it, and connects people who want help with participating car dealerships.

This policy covers information we collect through getcarmath.com, CarMath lead forms on Facebook and Instagram, CarMath quizzes and landing pages, and our calls, texts, and emails with you. It does not cover how a dealership, lender, or Meta handles information they collect on their own; their own privacy policies apply to that.

2. Information we collect

What you give us

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email address, city, state, and ZIP code.
  • Vehicle and shopping details: the vehicle you drive now, what needs repair, whether you are thinking about fixing, trading, or buying, vehicle types you are interested in, a comfortable monthly payment range, trade-in status, and your timeline.
  • Conversations: messages, call notes, appointment requests, and anything else you choose to tell us.
  • Consent records: the form you used, the date and time, the wording you agreed to, and your contact preferences.

What is collected automatically

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and approximate location based on IP address.
  • Usage data: pages you view, buttons you tap, how you arrived at our site, and when you visit.
  • Ad data: which ad, campaign, or form led to your request.

What we do not ask for

We do not ask for your Social Security number, driver’s license number, credit score, bank account or card numbers, or passwords. Please do not type them into any CarMath form or message. If a dealership or lender needs that kind of information later, they will ask for it directly under their own policies.

3. Facebook and Instagram forms

When you submit a CarMath Instant Form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta sends us the information you entered, which may include details Meta pre-filled from your profile that you chose to submit. Once we receive it, this Privacy Policy governs how CarMath uses it. Meta’s handling of your information on its own platforms is covered by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

We use information from these forms only to follow up on the request you made, to connect you with a participating dealership as described in the form, and for the other purposes in Section 4.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your request and help you compare repairing your vehicle with replacing it.
  • To call, text, or email you about your request, within the consent you gave.
  • To match you with one or more participating dealerships that can help, and to schedule appointments.
  • To manage and route leads, keep records, and provide support.
  • To measure and improve our ads, forms, and website.
  • To prevent fraud, spam, and misuse.
  • To comply with the law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
  • To create de-identified or combined statistics that do not identify you.

5. Who we share it with

Participating dealerships

If you ask for help with a trade-in, a replacement vehicle, or a second opinion, we share your contact details and the vehicle and shopping details you gave us with one or more participating dealerships so they can contact you about your request. These may include franchised new-car dealers and independent or used-car dealers. Dealerships may pay CarMath a fee for these introductions. Some people who operate CarMath may also work at a participating dealership.

Dealerships may use your information only to help with the request you made. Once a dealership has your information, its own privacy policy also applies. You can ask us to stop sharing your information with dealerships at any time (see Section 8).

Service providers

We use vendors that help us run CarMath, such as our customer relationship management and messaging platform (currently GoHighLevel), website and funnel hosting, analytics, and advertising measurement. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Advertising platforms

We share limited device, activity, and ad-response data with Meta and similar platforms to deliver and measure our ads. See Section 6.

Legal and business reasons

We may disclose information to comply with the law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, to our professional advisers, or as part of a merger, sale, or similar business transaction.

What we don’t do

We do not share your mobile phone number or text-message consent with any third party for that party’s own marketing. We do not sell lists of your information to data brokers.

6. Cookies, pixels, and ads

Our website and landing pages use cookies, pixels, and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics. Meta, Google, and other third parties may use these tools to collect or receive information from our site and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure ad performance and show you ads.

You can control this in several ways: adjust your Facebook ad preferences, opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at aboutads.info/choices, use Google ad settings, block or clear cookies in your browser, or turn on a Global Privacy Control signal. Where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

7. Calls, texts, and email

When you submit a form, you choose whether CarMath and matched dealerships may contact you, and how. Where required, we get your consent before sending automated or marketing calls or texts. Consent is never a condition of buying anything.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any CarMath text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us using the details in Section 13.

8. Your choices and rights

Anyone can ask us to:

  • stop calls, texts, or emails;
  • stop sharing their information with dealerships; or
  • delete their information, unless we need to keep a record by law (for example, a record that you asked us not to contact you).

Depending on your state, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your information (these terms are defined broadly in some state laws and can include paid dealership introductions), and appeal our decision on your request.

To make any request, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request” or call 440-488-6405. We will confirm your identity using the contact details you gave us and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

9. How long we keep it

We keep lead and conversation records for as long as we need them to follow up on your request, and generally no longer than three years after our last contact with you. We keep consent and opt-out records longer when needed to prove we honored your choices. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is completely secure. If you think your information has been compromised, contact us right away.

11. Age limit

CarMath is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 or target our ads to minors. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice where the law requires it.
